Weekend Shenanigans

We had a busy weekend this past week. I was surprised I snapped any pictures lol. 

Arden and I started planting some late flowers! He loved playing with all the dirt and gardening stuff. 

Especially he water.

Then we celebrated my sisters birthday (didn't snap any pics :-(. )

Then we attended the Armstrong Bank Annual Company Picnic. 

Then on Sunday we went to church and afterwards had some lunch with great friends, then off to home for a nap lol I'd say Arden was pretty worn out because I carried him in, changed his diaper, and took his church clothes off and laid him in his crib without waking him up....never happens.

I have a question for you, "What does it mean to be a Proverbs 31 Woman in today's society?"

I've been digging in to study the Proverbs 31 Woman more closely lately and I have come to that question. How can we, today, be all the characteristics of the virtuous woman? Whether we are married or single we can be the Proverbs 31 Woman God is calling us to be. 

"Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies."

I plan on posting more about my study when I get even deeper into it for you guys, so get ready! Lol I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Breakfast with Mickey

Arden's first Birthday party went off great! 

We had Mickey Mouse waffles, blueberries, strawberries, chocolate chips , bananas, Orange Juice and white and chocolate milk! Oh and some yummy turkey sausage lol 

I'm kicking myself for not getting pictures of before people started arriving cause it looked awesome lol but here's a few to give you a hint. 

So thankful for all who came to chow down on a Mickey Mouse Breakfast and celebrate our mancub turning 1! He had so much fun!

Summer Reading Challenge 2016

So I saw a post on my Instagram of a July Summer Reading Challenge 2016 and I thought I would give it a shot! (More reason to read lol)!

I have a serious obsession problem when it comes to this book series lol. I am always up for rereading this one over and over. Definately recommend this one for anyone who loves comedy and romance!

Great Stories

My reading list is forever growing! One book always leads to another lol. 

Books I have read lately since my last book post: 

Entwined by Heather Dixon, is a play on the old fairy tale of the twelve dancing princesses. It is told from the perspective of the eldest princess. I was a little hesitant in reading it because I adore the classic fairy tales as they are, but I really enjoyed this read. 

(Book #1)

(Book #2) 

The Jewel series by Amy Ewing, is set in a time where when a young girl turns a certain age they are tested to be a royal surrogate. The main character discovers the true meaning of the surrogates and what happens to them after the deliver a baby, and seeks to escape it all and rescue others and put an end to it all. 

Definitely planning to read the final book when it comes out. 

The Matched series by Ally Condie is a dystopian book, where at a certain age people are matched with who they will spend the rest of their life with. Some people though are not matched and remain to be single instead, and some are no matched or labeled single at all. The story is about when a girl is actually matched with her best guy friend, but when she goes to look at his micro-card (a device where they learn more about their match) his picture comes up but then goes away and another boys picture pops up instead, a boy who is not suppose to be in the matching pool. Loved this series. 

I am currently reading Atlantia by Ally Condie. I just started it so not a whole lot to report at this moment, but so far so good. 

A couple books up next on my reading list that I plan to start soon. Glittering and the series Dorothy Must Die.
