First Foods | Dental Issues

A few weeks ago I had gone to the ER for bad swelling in my mouth and on the left side of my face. I had thought before all the swelling that the pain I was feeling was just from sinus pressure because that's exactly what it felt like, but low and behold it was not a sinus infection...
It was a Friday night when I first went to the ER and the doctor I saw gave me shot for pain and sent me on my way and told me to just follow up with my dentist on Monday. Well that next Saturday morning I went back because the swelling had worsened and was basically starting to take over the left side of my nose and almost my eye. I had also developed a lump on the roof of my mouth, which was painful to the touch. I saw the same doctor when I went in and he gave me a shot for swelling and still told me to follow up with my dentist on Monday and sent me on my way. That evening I went back to the ER. It had gotten even worse and the pain was unbearable. This time my sister Jacque Sue went with me cause I was too weak to drive and Tyler was keeping Arden. We went in and I told the triage nurse what all I've been through and he took me straight back to a room to be seen by a doctor. Luckily a different doctor. It ended up that I had an abscess on the roof of my mouth due to a tooth problem. The tooth wasn't bothering me just the pressure from the abscess. Well if that couldn't get any worse, the doctor had to numb and cut open the abscess to drain the fluid in it to relieve the pressure pain. Let me tell you, (I told the doctor and nurses this as well) I would have rather had 10 labor and deliveries back to back with no meds with all ten pounds babies than go through what I did again. The worst part was when he numbed the abscess but I won't go into the gross details of that process. When I went through labor and delivery I did it like a pro and didn't make a peep! But this I screamed like I was being tortured. I had the doctor, my sister, and two nurses to hold me still while the doctor did his thing! Awful. Just awful. The nurses still called me a trooper after all of that. Well I still had to follow up with my dentist and I have to have a root canal to fix the infection completely so it doesn't come back. Which I would say is the easiest part of that whole process lol.
Waiting to be seen at the ER for the 2nd time.

Much needed snuggles with my boy after not seeing him ALL day... Literally.

My follow up appointment.

But now onto some cute, adorable chubbiness lol

Arden had some baby firsts these past two weeks!

Arden had his 4 Month check up!
Doing a little light reading while waiting in the waiting room lol.

We got promoted to the big kid "play" room for our check ups.

He also got his 4 month shots. :-(

We tried cereal!!!!!

I think I like this mom...

Give me the bowl mom! Lol

And we tried Sweet Potatoes!!!

Let's just say he LOVED them lol

Tyler and I had to have a photo op of our aftermath of trying a new food lol

Tyler had it on his shirt, his face, in his beard, and o had snot and spit on my shirt with sweet potatoes on my pants lol

Love having baby firsts! So much fun!
