Becoming a Mama Bear...

Since becoming a Mama Bear at the end of June this year I have learned and discovered so much! More than I thought I would.
I didn't think everything would just be sweet honey but I also didn't expect the worse either. I had an opened mind about how motherhood would transform me. Even with all the unwanted advice and comments of "oh you make think it will be like this but just wait", "you do this now but once he gets here that will change for sure", and "you'll never have time for yourself or time alone with Tyler anymore".

Well, just like I said, unwanted advice and comments.

Since Tyler and I have been married I have always gotten up (even when I didn't have to) and got his clothes ready and laid out for him when he gets out of the shower. Every morning. I think I've only not done that once and I think I was so sick I couldn't move. Otherwise I have done it. Not because he asked me to, cause he never did, but because I wanted to, as his wife. People would tell me that wouldn't last long but 2 1/2 years later I'm still doing it. They said it wouldn't happen anymore once Arden got here but guess what, I still do it.

Being a mama bear hasn't changed me but then yet it still has.
My day to day activities staying home have changed in the sense of when I do my house chores or when I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, but it hasn't stopped me from doing them. Yes I do fall behind sometimes on chores but when I do it's my own fault and not because I have an infant to care for too. A lot of times I get caught up in play time with him lol :-)?
How could I not?! Lol

I still get "me" time. Whether it is when he naps or late at night or when Tyler takes him. My "me" mostly consist of a loooong HOT shower after hubs and man cub have gone to bed. And that's okay with me :-)

Tyler and I have a once a month date night when Tyler's parents will watch Arden. And that's perfect for us.

I have learned that poop, pee and spit up have defeated the laws of gravity but hey, sometimes I get a kick out of it especially when Arden sees my stink face and giggles at me lol

I've also learned how to change a diaper in lightening speed and give a bath faster than superman.

I've learned that I definitely have a momma's boy on my hands and mama snuggles are the best ;-)

I am definitely still learning and experiencing new things all the time, and I wouldnt change it for the world.
Becoming a mama bear has only changed me for the better :-)

Megan
