Coffee & Jesus time.
For past few weeks I'm been battling sinus trouble-badly. I've always had sinus trouble but this time the sinus pressure just won't let up since I can't take anything to help it since I am breastfeeding. Many medications can dry up breastmilk. I had been taking one prescription for it but it hasn't worked at all. The sinus pressure pain is getting unbearable.
This morning in my Coffee & Jesus time I studied up on healing.
•2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NLT)
Verse 9 is what really stuck out to me:
"Each time he said, 'My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness'. So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me".
-Three times Paul prayed for a healing but did not receive it. However, he did receive far greater things instead. He received greater grace from God, a stronger character and humility; which benefited those around him as they saw God work in his life.
I'm not saying that every situation will be like Paul's and God won't heal you or someone you know. What I received from this is that Paul was persistent in prayer. Even when he didn't receive healing the first two times he prayed he continued. When God answered him in a different way he realized he needed to depend on God and his timing and way of things.
•Luke 8:43-48 (NLT)
Vs. 48: "Daughter", he said to her," your faith has made you well. Go in peace".
- It is only faith in Christ that releases Gods healing power. When he have faith and believe in our hearts we can fully receive his healing he has for us.
For me it seems like I have great faith when it comes to encouraging others and praying for others, but when it comes to me and my situations it feels like my faith drops.
We need to not just walk in faith but BELIEVE it. XoXo,
Megan
